Computer Lab

Over the last month 7th grade students have been creating vector art.  Vector art is created using vector illustration software programs, such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, or Google Draw.  These programs use mathematic equations and geometric primitives (points, lines, and shapes) to create art that is clean, camera ready, and can be scaled infinitely, without any loss of quality.  Seventh graders used Google Draw to recreate portraits of famous African Americans.  It took them about a month to complete.  Some are still in progress. They have worked very hard and are proud of their projects.  Many have even begun to consider a career in graphic arts.
